“Hara hachi bunme”( pronounced hah-rah  hah-chee  boon-a-may) is an old Japanese saying meaning “eat until you are 80% full“. Another regional proverb is “eat like a crane” because the beak of the crane is pointed forcing it to pick delicately at its food.

I like this! I’m putting this into my “archives of visuals” to remind me to slow down, enjoy my food and to savor each bite.

I hope you do the same.
