Who knew? May 6th is International No Diet Day. I had never heard of this dedicated day so I Wikipedia’d it. Originating in 1992 by a British woman Mary Evans Young, it was designed to fight the diet industry and raise awareness of the dangers of eating disorders. It quickly spread to other countries.

We have so many holidays. What an amazing concept. I am so happy there is a special day that addresses the dangers, humiliation and the ongoing feeling of defeat of dieting.  Its great to have another vehicle to celebrate and bring more awareness to the Intuitive Eating process. An Intuitive Eater never diets, restricts, or cheats.

Today is a day to celebrate and enjoy the process of  reaching your natural and comfortable weight;  eating only the foods that you love, eating when you are hungry and stopping when you are satisfied.

When you become an Intuitive Eater you will celebrate your food everyday. Today is a special day to spread the word.
