…A naturally thin friend of yours just broke up with the person they thought was the love of their life.
They are so down and depressed, you decide they need a little cheering up. You stop at their favorite sweets shop and purchase that decadent treat on the menu you’ve seen them order. You even stop to buy some ribbon for the package to make it “special”. You are sure this will brighten their day…
Your friend opens the door and is visibly upset. You offer your gift…you wait for a smile…Your friend thanks you for your thoughtful gesture and proceeds to set the dessert down. You ask if you could open it for them telling them you know this will cheer them up. They loving look at you and respond…”Thank you, I’ll eat it when I’m hungry, maybe later. But right now, I’m upset…not hungry”.
