I found a version of this the other day and wanted to share.
How often do you suppose a sharpshooter would hit the target without taking the time to aim? What if the sharp shooter fired randomly without clearly visualizing the target and thinking about the distance, speed, trajectory and other factors involved in making the shot? Would the shooter hit the target at all?
Ask yourself:
What is my target? Lose weight? Be healthier? Be more present and in the moment? More relaxed? More productive? More proud of yourself? More at ease around your favorite and previously “forbidden” foods?
Now take aim.
Visualize clearly what you want to achieve. Imagine the feeling of getting there. Imagine reaching your goal. Imagine surpassing it. Enjoy the journey. Each accomplishment is big. Reward yourself with a silent pat on your own back.
We become what we imagine we can become.
