Do you look back on your day and feel that you’ve accomplished what you set out to do? Are you a list maker? Do you like to check things off to see your progress?
If you tend to look back and feel that you couldn’t or didn’t do all of the things that you wanted for the day you may be causing yourself to feel pressure, disappointment and even anxiety. Don’t set yourself up for the negative.
Look back and write, think or remember ONLY the good things about your day. Maybe it was a small thing like sharing a smile with the cashier at the market. Because you were present for your family maybe you made someone feel loved. Did you do something that you didn’t think you could? Did you challenge yourself? How many people said “thank you” to you today? Challenge yourself to look at your day through “rose colored glasses” for a change. It sound like such a worn out saying but it really does pay to “accentuate the positive…eliminate the negative”!
