Change the “reaction” channel in your brain.
We’ve all heard it before.
“You can’t change what you can’t change..but you can change how you react to it”.
BUT…
how do you do that?
It’s really a simple plan that takes a lot of practice and practice and practice…
For those of you who are old enough to remember dials on the TV; picture one of those.
If not; picture a remote!
When a situation beyond your control “happens TO you”; it is YOUR CHOICE how to REACT.
One great way to make a frustrating, hurtful, bad, negative occurrence a positive one for yourself is to imagine CHANGING THE CHANNEL of your REACTIONS to these negative outside situations.
When you visualize actually changing something physically (the dial or remote), your brain will more easily accept the change…even if it doesn’t make sense.
Like…
someone makes a comment that is “obviously” negative about you, your performance at work, something you did or didn’t do, etc.
Your first thought and then reaction would “logically” be negative also.
Then, you will be thinking negative thoughts…
feel badly about yourself…
boom! the outside situation has won.
You want to be able to turn the outside negative into an internal positive.
By changing the channel in your mind with a visual you can CHOOSE which channel to change to…negative or positive.
Something “outside force” happens negative.
You change the internal channel to Positive.
Your brain and all your following thoughts will be positive.
“I bet that person is having a bad day…I know I didn’t do anything wrong..I choose to feel good”.
This morning I believe why I came to be know as “The Motivator Lady”…
For the past 5 years I’ve been going through a lot of emotional “changes” with my aging but so very vital parents.
Recently things have gone into high gear with regards to financial security and sustainability for them.
I woke up saying “DANCE IN THE PUDDLES…YOU CAN’T STOP THE RAIN”.
Although I’ve heard “dance in the puddles” many times…I think today I really “get it”.
In life, we can only control the things that we can control.
“Sayings” come from reality…
“Give me the serenity to change the things I can…
Accept the things I can’t…
And the wisdom to know the difference”…
These words are all dancing in my head.
This morning the MEANING and PEACE of these sayings overpowered the mere words.
Let’s all allow some doors to close so we may experience the greatness that awaits us with the next door opening.
That beautiful, colorful and adventuresome scene Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz saw when she opened the black and white door is forever etched in my memory. This morning…I believe it…I feel it.
I want that for all of you.

tortilla
1 sm. can tomato paste
a few shakes italian seasoning
a few shakes garlic powder or garlic nuggets
sliced fresh mushrooms
fresh spinach
sliced olives
sliced fresh tomatoes
a few more shakes italian seasoning
mix together:
tomato paste
italian seasoning
garlic powder or nuggets
spread a generous amount of tomato paste onto tortilla
top with:
mushrooms slices
spinach
sliced olives
a few shakes italian seasoning
a few shakes garlic powder or nuggets
bake in 375 degrees oven on pizza stone or directly on oven rack for approx. 5-7 min. or until crispy.
OMG…sososo good!
